a brief history

for as long as i can remember, dogs have always been my world. i got my start at 12 years old, working in a kennel south of Brisbane.

I spent the next 15 years working my way through the dog world, from dog shelters to vet nursing, and have spent many years working with livestock and companion animals.

My mission with Campbell Canine Co is to build harmonious lifestyles and households with a focus on bonding and strong foundations.

For the last 6 years of my career, I have focused solely on learning the many different approaches to dog training, from basic obedience through to advanced behavior modification, and am now here to give back that knowledge.

The Wild Child Finding Her Feet
Shady is the newest member of the pack. She came from life as a community dog living out west and is now learning what it means to be an indoor dog.

She’s sweet and affectionate, but also has a mischievous streak — the kind that keeps us on our toes while she figures out this whole “house dog” gig. Shady’s adjusting quickly and has already carved out her place in the family.

The Chaos Gremlin Turned Gentleman
Shrimp is our 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a reputation. He was first adopted, then returned to the shelter when his “undesirable behaviours” proved too much — lucky for us, that’s when he landed in our lives.

We’re talking six-foot fence escapes, intense food aggression, seperation anxiety that left the house looking like a war zone, and lead manners that were basically non-existent.

Fast forward to today, and Shrimp has put in the work. He’s gone from wild card to well-rounded, calm, and reliable — still cheeky, but now in the kind of way that makes you laugh, not cry.

The Wise Old Man of the Pack
Cooper is our 11-year-old Kelpie x Coonhound, adopted from AWL a decade ago when he was just one. Since then, he’s been equal parts “play all day” Kelpie and “sleep anywhere” Hound.

Anyone who’s lived with a hound knows the drill — his training journey has had its fair share of highs and lows. But with age has come wisdom, and Cooper wears it well.
